******GENERAL INFORMATION*******

Well, we had 5 to start on Saturday and that turned into 4 by the finish. We played about as well as South Carolina did against NC State. Yah, we played that well! NOT!

We played the Dogwood for the first time in about two months, and although the course was in great condition, it was as dramatic a change as when we played the "renewed" Azalea. You'll be happy to know that the rough on the Dogwood is just as nasty as the rough on the Azalea - in other words, get off the fairway and you're screwed!

The greens and fairways are in prime condition, The course is looking and playing better than anytime in my 4 years in Aiken (Can you believe I've been here four years?)

*****POINTS COMPETITION*****

POINTS WINNER(S) : Larry +6 (10th Win in 2009)
Second Place: David +5

We played a five/four man points game and the Wofford Wiener came up the big winner! Larry won the front, tied the back (David) and therefore he won the 18. Had the WW ability to make a little bitty 4' putt on 18, he would have won it all.

We voted (unanimously, by the way) in the grill room that Larry was probably the only one of the 15 of us who would have missed it, that's how easy it was! Of course, no one was verbally harassing Larry while he was trying to putt or reminding him of the financial rewards available should he make the putt. To do so would have been equivalent to, I don't know, sucker punching your opponent after the game (see Oregon-Boise State), and following the HCCC rigorous code of conduct required the offending party to sit out the next five or six rounds or worse yet, ride with Typhoid Don!

MEDALIST: Don +87
Second Place: Larry +88
