FUTURE TEE TIMES

.Thursday, September 13, 2007 - AIKEN GOLF CLUB 9:40 - 9:50 .

Saturday, September 15 - 9:05 AM (Under Wessinger's name)

***

Well, it appears the tide (golfing tide that is) has turned. we have finally returned to the winners having positive points. The speed of the greens appears to have most of us baffled!

Fast, slow, break, no break, up, down, in, out, around about.....it's a mystery to me, and to apparently most everybody else!

Individual Honors

The "Clemson Crusher", a.k.a. Brent was the big scoring stud today. Dazzling Dr. Larry's "little people" with a rather robust +6 (38-44=82). This a a little better output than the last several weeks. Tommy was a close second with a repectable +5 (40-42=82). Notable 9's: Brent with his 38. Tommy with his 40 and 42. Wait while I search.....search......search.....search for any other decent nine's.....still searching! Result: NONE!

Hey, people wake up and smell the golf ball (?). The rest of us are still out to lunch. We had one other stinking score in the 80's.. Louie with an 88 (43-45). Marshall also had a 43, but we're begging a little bit here folks! Let's get those golf games shaped up! Only 3 weeks till the BIG COLLEGE GOLF TOURNAMENT and you don't want to let your old Alma Mater down, do you?

Team Competition

This term "Team Competition" is becoming a misnomer with our group. The term impies a competitve setting where one team scores a relative close victory over another team of comparable skill! "Ha", I say, "Double HA, HA!". We're starting to resemble Notre Dame, Clemson or Michigan for heaven's sake!

The team of Marshall, Louie, Brent and Larry blew away the non-competitve foursome of Jack, Ron, Hergy and Tommy by the 18 hole score of +8. The "Wimpies" stayed somewhat close on the front, losing by 1 (a dazzling -1 1/2 to -1/2), but the winning team poured on the muscle on the back winning by a (+8.5 to -3.5 - that's an 11 point difference for those of you with less than 10 fingers. (?) Anyway, it wasn't close. It was so bad..... how bad was it? It was so bad we didn't even bother to cheat! Oops, I didn't mean to say cheat. (why-o-why can't we score like Sergio Garcia....an extra birdie here, an extra eagle there and pretty soon you win!! - I like it!!)

That's it! Remember...Aiken Golf Club on Thursday!
