FUTURE TEE TIMES
******************************
Thursday, November 15th
10:00 - 10:08 - 10:16am
Azalea -Dogwood
*******************************

Can you believe it? Here it is the 13th of November and we are playing golf in 75 degree weather. The course is drying out and the greens are fast....fast.....fast!
----------
We had a great turnout this AM: 12 golfers hit the big stage attempting to impress the POY judges as the time ticks down to the ultimate POY selection announcement on December 18th.
---------
EDITORIAL OPINION: The pin placements on many of the holes were almost of the "miniature golf" variety, with the speed and downhill slope of the greens making putting a veritable guessing game. Dogwood #2 (or #11 depending on how you count) was a joke. Balls above the hole not going in the hole rolled off the green and stopped 10-15 yards off the green.

Individual Honors
Not only is our winner today a good golfer, but he is probably the best looking (editorial opinion) winner we have had in the last several weeks, if not all year. He is certainly better looking than last week's winner (sorry, Dr. Larry).

Hergy was the big hitter today shooting a +4 (42-44=86). TV Louie was a close second at +3 (45-44=89). In addition to the point total, Hergy also lead all golfers with an 86 for medalist honors. However, his win today is attributable to more luck than skill as Hergy made at least 4 long putts of 20' or more to score either a birdie (2) or save a long par (2), but his good looks are not luck or skill, but good genes!

Other notable nines: Ron and Duke shot nice 41's for the low nines of the day. Hergy had the 42 for next best round and everyone else was in the 44-45-46 range.

Team Competition

The team competition was close today but the team of Hergy, Duke, Ron and Brent prevailed over the other foursomes, shooting a decent +3 to win the front and an additional +2 to win the back, for an overall score of +5.

Unfortunately, none of the other groups were able to maintain a positive score for 18 holes to challenge the dazzling group. The team of Jack, Don and Tommy (Dan played, but didn't participate in the bet) fell short of the plus numbers and the team of Ernie, Marshall, Louie and Larry played well on the front (+1/2) but fell way behind on the back nine to slide into the negative numbers.

NEWS

Ho Ho Ho! Everyone is reminded to call Moody with your Christmas dinner menu selections (649-7972). I will have a special Christmas Dinner blog up before the end of the week if you have misplaced the information sheet that was handed out last week.

Rumor has it that Moody and Marcus are going to join us for 9 holes on Thursday. Now if we can just get them to contribute their money............

That's it for now!
