*We had six golfers this morning. The Ladies decided not to play today, so we had a little change of course- so to speak. We didn't have to play the Laurel course as scheduled and played the "normal" Dogwood/Azalea route instead. We were done before it got very hot....we finished in THREE HOURS. We started at 9:12 and finished a few minutes after 12:00, and that was after waiting on the last three holes. Beat the heat!
*
The greens are coming along, still very difficult to putt. Also, the course conditions are a little erratic as well. They are watering a lot,(like during play) so some lies you have are in swamp-like conditions, the approaches to some, not all, of the greens are all muddy and the ball won't/can't roll. Unfortunately, you don't know which is which until after you've hit. From the description I've just given you, do you want to guess who played a terrible round today?

*****POINTS*****
*
The Paint-boy prevailed again this morning, and this becoming a rather ugly habit. ( not to imply that Paint-boy is ugly.) Don shot a +6 to easily outdistance the Naked Gun who shot a +4. In addition, Paint-boy also won the medalist honors as well shooting an 18 hole score of 81 (40-41). If Don could have putt today, he would have been in the seventies with ease!*
Be warned Don, if these winning stuff continues I am going to have to dig deep within the HHH & S archives to come up with "appropriate" pictures to capture the "essence" of your victories! Consider this a warning!!!
*
*****NINES*****
A bunch of decent scores today. All but one in the 80's
-40- Bob M, Don -41- Brent, Don, Ron
-42- Brent -43- Ernie -44- Ron, Bob M -45- Ernie, Hergy
*
*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
*
We had a "split decision this morning. The team of Ron, Brent and Bob won the front (Dogwood) by 1/2 a stroke, finishing at 5 1/2 to 5 for the team of Don, Ernie and Hergy.
*
The back however was a different story with the latter team posting a +1 to a - 1/2 victory. The eighteen hole totals were therefore +6 to +5 in favor of the "superior" team of Don, Ernie and Hergy!
*
"Just remember boys, it's not how you play
but who you play with that determines your shot at victory!"
