CEDAR CREEK GOLF CLUB
*
We had a great turnout this morning for our first of two road trips away from the home course. Twelve golfers showed this morning at the Aiken Golf club to continue to press forward towards the ultimate prize in golf: PLAYER OF THE YEAR for 2008.
*
Please note the change in course above. We are going to try the Cedar Creek Golf Club on Thursday. The price is $28.00 for golf & cart.
*
I kind of had to make a unilateral decision as to whether or not to do this and didn't have a chance to get a consensus on the details. The "favorable" pricing (courtesy of Bob Moody) and the tee times are a little later than we normally play, but for one time it probably won't kill us!
*
Watch your time, it's a little further out there than you think...and a little slower driving as well!
*
*****POINTS*****

It seems "the REV' was all stoked up this morning as he jumped on everyone with a nice round of +6. Next best was only +2 (Bob M.) and a couple of +1's (Marshall and Ernie). Louie didn't play real great for the day, he just didn't play real bad, if you know what I mean? Otherwise, everyone else kind of tanked it for the day. Credit the change in putting surfaces for a lot of the difficulty. Many, many three putts were recorded for the 18 holes.
*
The medalist for the session was Bob Moody shooting a very nice round of 80 (41-39). Closest to that number was a pair of 86's by Tommy and Louie. Nice round Bob!
*
*****SCORES*****
-39- Bob
-40-
-41- Bob, Louie
-42- Tommy
-43- Hergy, Marshall, Don
-44- Tommy,
-45- Duke, Louie, Ron, Ernie(2)

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
*
The team competition was a sweep for the team of Hergy, Walt, Duke and Louie. They posted a
-2 to win the front and a +6 to win the back which resulted in a 18 hole total of +4. This is the first "negative" number to win in over two, possibly three months.
*
Finishing second was the team of Jack, Bob, Don and Ernie. They posted a -3 on the first nine and a +3 on the back for an 18 hole total of "0". Kind of like kissing your sister!
*
Dragging the rear echelon was the team of Tommy, Ron, Larry and Marshall. They tried and they tried but the balls just wouldn't fall. Posting a -6 1/2 on the front, they rebounded to a +2 1/2 on the back to finish at -4 for the day.
