Sorry for the delay in blogging this time, although I think I had today's tee times on the last several blogs so you wouldn't be "without"!

We had five golfers (+ an extra) show up for the activities on Saturday. We got a little insight into what Houndslake golf in the future is going to be like. S-L-O-W, and S-L-O-W-E-R. We were following the dogfight which usually has some pretty savvy golfers in it. Well for some reason, today (Saturday) they decided to play a SIX-some, followed by a FIVE-some, and no we couldn't play through.

We complained to the Pro shop and they made them break up the Six-some at the turn, don't know about the five-some since by the time we had gotten to the Dogwood tee box, another group had jumped in front of us. Lordy! We went down and played Laurel and we were all by ourselves.

What are we going to do when we don't have the Laurel relief valve?

Rather than play points with just five of the regulars, we decided to include the guest and just played a regular Nassau, one three-some against the other. Since the "guest" was an 8 handicap (from the Golds), it was pretty obvious who was in the driver's seat. The fact that we didn't play well didn't help our cause any.

The team of Walt, Larry and (guest) won the front (Azalea) and the 18. The team of Bob, Hergy and Don won the back nine (Laurel).

I guess the weather was too nice so something. The courses are in pretty good shape, but no one seemed to get their act together. I guess that's GOLF!

The course is closed for 9/18 hole Ladies shotgun and a SCG & E golf outing.

At this point in time, every tee time from 8:30 to 1:00 is reserved. We can check and I'm sure that many of those tee times will open up but as of now (8:00 on Monday night) they are shown as reserved. I will check at Golf tomorrow and let you know!
