Good to get back to golf after the holidays and the weather imposed delays. Not exactly typical weather is it? We had six golfers out this morning which turned out to be a very enjoyable day to play. If you like fast greens, today was your day!

Although a little windy on the first tee, once we got off the hill it was quite nice. Those of you choosing not to play missed out on a great opportunity to pick up some loose change.

*****POINTS TITLE*****

We had tie this morning for the Points title between the "Naked Gun" and "NASCAR Ernie". The two Wofford graduates (left - shown at an earlier time) managed to shoot +5's. Considering how tough the putting was, those were really pretty decent scores.

1099-Taylor was next with a +2. Medalist honors for the day went to Ron with a nice 85. His round was nothing spectacular, but just a day of real steady play....nice round Ron.

Ernie had a 88 and Hergy shot 89 to round out the scores in the 80's for the day.

7 of the possible 12 rounds were eligible for the "Honor Roll" today.

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

The team competition ended in a tie for all participants. The team of Ron, Don and Hergy won the front (Dogwood) with a +2 1/2 point output, and finished the back (Azalea) with a +1 1/2 showing for a +4 overall.

The other team composed of Ernie, Jack and Larry coasted on the front with a score of "0" and then turned it on the back with a +4 performance, tying the score at +4.

It's never great to tie, but I guess it's better than the alternative!
