Sorry for the delays in posting, I have family in town and we seem to be always running somewhere or other. Anyway, we've had pretty decent turnouts (8) early this week. The weather, as I understand it, is supposed to get a lot colder. Wa-a-a-y below Walt cold and even below Duke cold. It could even be Hergy and Don cold! That's cold! Too cold to play....we'll see!

*****POINTS COMPETITION*****

So far this year we have had only two winner through 4 sessions. On Saturday, Ernie won his second Points competition with a +6 performance. Bob and Don were next with respectable +4's.

Not to be outdone, on Tuesday, Hergy posted his second victory of the year with a +5 and TV Louie was in second place with a +2.

If anyone else would like to step up and challenge the two reigning STUDS we'll be ready...... at least Hergy will, NASCAR is retreating to the safety of his lake home or some other lame excuse, no doubt afraid to face the competition. He is a "gamecock fan" and last time I checked that was a "Chicken" of sorts.

I tried to find a picture of Hergy and Ernie together but all I could come up with was this picture of them conspiring on how to beat Larry in the 2010 POY competition. More on this later!

Because of the back up here at blog headquarters, I've decided to include both rounds under one heading, after all everyone must be given their due. It's why we play the game....isn't it!

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

The team competition on Saturday ended in a sweep for the team of Bob, Don, Duke and Ernie. They posted a +2 on the front and a +12 on the back to finish the 18 at +14. The less fortunate team of Tommy, Larry and Ron finished the front in -4 and the back in +8 and therefore a +4 for the day. did I forget to mention that the wonderful course - Laurel - was in the mix here.

The competition on Tuesday also resulted in a sweep for the team of Larry, Hergy, Louie and Ron. Posting a +3 1/2 (Laurel) and a +1 1/2 (Dogwood) for an overall score of +5. Falling prey to the onslaught was the team of Marshall, Bob, Ernie and Zack Fulmer(guest). They never made it to the positive side of the ledger, posting a -7 1/2 on the Laurel and a - 2 1/2 on the Dogwood to limp in at -10 for the 18.

It's supposed to get real cold over the next few days, hopefully we'll be able to squeeze a few rounds in! Stay warm!
