***GENERAL INFORMATION******

We had a pretty good turnout for our roadtrip to Jones Creek. we have 7 regulars and a guest (Tony Hass). The course, in better shape than usual, was very dry and created a lot of roll. (So much in fact that Larry actually had a couple drives roll over the 150 mark).

Unfortunately, the greens were extremely hard making it almost impossible to hold the green. The greens were fast and difficult, but all in all a fair test of our golfing skill. It's nice to have the reciprocal in place again and for $17.00, its a fun course for a change of pace for a great price.

Next week, the club is going to change the order of play. We are going back to Azalea - Laurel. I've attached a couple of pictures from the first tee - it appreas that someone never heard of the term Z-O-O-M - in!

You will be getting a summary of the year up through July 1, 2009. I will explain in more detail the criteria for the P.O.Y. points (although I think most of you know the primary score details.)

If we agree that the criteria is "fair", we can use the process to select the POY. If you don't like it , we can scrap it - no harm, no foul!
