******GENERAL INFORMATION*******
We had a nice group out this AM. 7 golfers made the effort to rouse themselves from a deep slumber to tackle the challenge of the mighty links. As usual, the links won!
*
Unfortunately, we had a 30 minute delay in our tee time as the dog fight was unusually large and infringed on our starting times. As you can well imagine, it was S-L-O-W after that, which to some degree defines our Saturday golf outing.
Be that as it may, here are the results of today's battle royale:
*******POINTS COMPETITION********
Points Winners: Hergy +6 (9th Win - the first win since April )
2nd Place: 3-way tie Walt, Ernie and Don "0"
*
Hergy, who has been struggling of late, put it all together this morning posting an 82 and leaving the rest of group in his wake. When questioned by this reporter as to what was responsible for the change, Hergy said," I don't know!"
Medalist: Hergy +82
Second Place: Don +85
Low Team Average: 86.75 (Ernie, Don, Tommy and Hergy)
Group Average: 89.57
A surprising number considering we didn't have a lot of positive scores
***********HONOR ROLL*******************
-37-
-38-
-39- Hergy
-40-
-41- Don
-42-
-43- Hergy
-44- Don, Tommy
-45- Larry, Ernie(2)
The scores were kind of on the high side this morning, due in part to the slow play. Only one player finished with positive numbers, with 3 others at zero.

Team 1 - Ernie, Don, Tommy & Hergy +4.5
Team 2 - Walt, Larry & Duke -2
*****LAUREL*****
Team 1 - Ernie, Don, Tommy & Hergy -2.5
Team 2 - Walt, Larry & Duke -"0"
*****EIGHTEEN*****
Team 1 - Ernie, Don, Tommy & Hergy +2
Team 2 - Walt, Larry & Duke -2"
*****COMMENTS*****
We had a brief meeting this AM and have decided on a standard putter length for "gimmes".
You need to measure your putter against Hergy's and mark it appropriately. We measured this morning and 5 of the 7 putters being used were of that length....which is why we chose it! Duh!
