***GENERAL INFORMATION*******
We had 10 golfers this morning. The weather was really pretty nice, at least the heat wasn't a major factor. The wet sand traps and bunkers are beginning to take their toll, at least on my scorecard. I still don't know what it's like to hit out of the new traps, they have been wet and heavy since we started to play the Azalea.
Almost lost several balls in the rough this morning. It still thick and very difficult to hit out of. Other than that the courses are all in pretty decent shape. The new groundskeeper is doing a terrific job!

Nice round Brent! Don is continuing to "sizzle" with his third straight round of 40 and a "shout out" to the "Rev" as his game has seemed to be stuck at a fairly high level right now.
******COMMENTARY********
I'm going to give it till next Thursday before shutting down the "comment" section on the P.O.Y. criteria. Most I've talked to agree with the switch to separating the Team and the Individual points. One comment that has come up several times for which I have no answer, is that the more frequent players have a higher chance to get points, etc. I guess the same is true on the PGA tour, if you play every week, you stand a better chance of winning more money!
Only comments I have concerning frequency of play is twofold: 1) play more, we'd like to have more players at each outing. 2) The way our games fluctuate from bad to worse, playing more is definitely not an advantage!
If I don't hear a lot of gnashing of teeth by the 16th it will be as Yul Brenner (the Pharaoh) said in the "Ten Commandments" - "So let it be written. So let it be done."
MORE FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED THAT WE COME UP WITH A STANDARD PUTTER LENGTH FOR "IN THE LEATHER" - WE WOULD MEASURE EVERYONES PUTTER AND MARK EACH ONE AT THE PROPER LENGTH - AS IT IS NOW, WE HAVE VARYING LENGTHS AND THERE IS APPARENTLY SOME CONFUSION OVER WHAT CONSTITUTES A "GIMME" -OR- WE COULD START PUTTING EVERYTHING OUT! WHAT DO YOU THINK?
