Kind of a quiet day today. Looks like the Fall season is rapidly approaching and cooler temperatures are going to be the order of the day.Individual Honors
The head "hooker" was the big points winner today! Marshall dazzled the group with a +2 performance (44-47). With the "Tiger-like" form he is exhibiting in the picture on the right here, it's no wonder that everyone was pressed to keep up with him.Marshall, choked with emotion over his victory, thanked his teammates and said " the joy of winning is not in the winning of the money, but in the companionship and camaraderie of my teammates". Yes, he said that with a straight face as he crammed the money into his billfold.
Scores were not real good again today, but several of the "rabble" were able to at least pull or come close to pulling their points. Included in that grouping were Walter (+1), Hergy and Brent (0).
Team Competition
With Marshall leading the way, the team of Marshall, Walter and Hergy cruised to an easy victory. The boys put together two rounds of +1 1/2 for an overall 18 of +3. The other group of Brent, Larry, Dan and George (Welcome home from Africa, Bwana George!) played at a level that did not require them to even add up their final scores. You can guess what that usually means!. Therefore, I can't tell you just how big the victory was, only that is was deserved!

News
The BIG COLLEGE TOURNAMENT is only two weeks away! I have commitments from all of the teams, so let the trash talking begin! My next post will list the tee times and review the format again. I can't set the exact threesomes yet, as we will be waiting for the October handicaps to be published!
