**************************
The Saturday edition is on the way! We had a great turnout this morning. The entire Wofford team played - obviously basking in the glow of their Tournament victory on Thursday.

I say "basking", but it was close to downright cockiness. They were strutting around the 1st tee doing some obnoxious doggie bark thing - yip, yip, yip! I guess when you're "Cock-O'- The Walk" you can do that. Unfortunately, none of the Gamecocks had recovered from their rather pedestrian showing on Thursday to play today. I suppose I'll get a bunch more notes from Mommy with all kinds of excuses as to why they didn't play up to their press clippings!

Individual Honors

Well golf fans, as you can see from the picture on the left, the Captain of the Champion Wofford Terriers is today's point winner. Mr. Ernie dazzled the six other "hackers" with a very excellent +7 (43-41). Second place was a tie between another Wofford puppy - Larry and the head Cornhusker - Hergy at +4.
Other notable nines: Ron and Hergy both had 42's, one shot off of Ernie's "best" 41. Eighteen totals of note: Ernie (84), Hergy (86) and Don (87). Overall a pretty good outing for everyone today.

Team Competition
---------------------------
The team of Ernie, Duke, Ron and Don squeaked out a front nine victory (+9 to +4 1/2) and then, led by Ernie, posted a +5 on the back nine for an 18-hole total of +14. The other team of Walter, Larry and Hergy (playing one person short) couldn't quite get it together today. On the back with 5 holes remaining and a total of 3 1/2 left (19 1/2), they managed to slash and hack their way to 6 more points over the last 5 holes. Christmas came early for the competition.

NEWS
*****************
Happy Birthday to Mr. Moody on achieving the big 70. If you ask me, he doesn't look a day over 68 or 69. Hurry up and get back, Bob, we miss your money! We also want to see if you can still hit the ball as far with your new svelte body -15lbs! Wow! Kay may have to shake the sheets to find you in there!
Congrats also to Jack - Grandpa again for the 5th (I think) time. Another little boy! I think it's 3 (boys) to 2 (girls). Hopefully, we'll be seeing more of Jack and his money as well, now that he won't be commuting to Charleston as much.
