Can you believe that it is already the 16th of October? We're still sweating way too much. Hopefully, fall will be here before long, with the cool, crisp days just made for golfing! Here's the latest!
Individual Honors
Ron was the BIG hitter today at Aiken Golf Club. Shooting a very respectable +6 (39-44 = 83) for first place and all the coin. Hergy was close behind with a +5 (40-45 = 85). ----------------
We had a large number of "notable" nines this AM, including: Ron shot a 39 on the back (with the pin placements we had today, this was a GREAT score!), Hergy shot a 40, Brent and Don managed 42's on the front and the Dukester had a 43. Notable Shots: Hergy had an EAGLE on the Par 5 #13.

Team Competition

The team of Brent, Hergy, Don and Duke charged out of the gate this morning shooting a very good +9 on the front beating the threesome of Ron, Larry and Jack by 9 1/2 points, as they managed a paltry -1/2. Unfortunately for the front runners, there was also a back nine.

Ron, Larry and Jack kicked it in gear on the back shooting a respectable + 5 1/2. The other group of golfers (I use the term loosely) fell completely apart. Strutting around with a 9 1/2 point lead like a Clemson Tiger, they choked big time managing an ugly, ugly -8 (yes, fans a -8) losing the back nine by a whopping -13 1/2 and losing the total 18 (+5 to -1). Ron, Larry and Jack were in such shock that they forgot to gloat (as was their right!).

- We tee off at 10:20 on Thursday, so we will meet at HCC at 9:15 to consolidate transportation.
- Happy October Birthday's to Moody (70), Duke (65), and Larry (69).
- I will post the future tee times (Sat-Tues-Thurs) in the next blog. We will be moving the time back a little (10:00-ish) now that fall is upon us!
