For those of you that thought it was too cold to play on Saturday, you were w-r-o-n-g. It turned out to be a great day - not too hot, not too cold. Six of the group were present for the contest today, as two of the more frequent players were touting their talents with the Peninsula Homeowners group. (Ron and Hergy).

Individual Honors
---------------------------
Don was the points winner for the Saturday contest, posting a very respectable +7 (43-40=83). A great turnaround from his Thursday round which was a -8. What a difference a day makes. Nice round, Don! Now if you can just learn to keep score.

Brent had the only other rounds worth mentioning in this area with a 43-42=85. Duke and Tommy shot twin 91's to complete the Clemson scoring summary. Now if only the Clemson football team was as effective, they wouldn't have lost to BC. Will their next "choke job" be against the Gamecocks? Stay tuned!

Team Honors

The team honors for the day ended in a split decision, although if Don had been given just a few more minutes, his team would have won it all. The team of Don, Brent and Tommy, with the help of Don's pencil with eraser, were able to hold off the team of Ernie, Duke and Larry (their pencil didn't have an eraser). The Do-To-Br team won the front with a + 3 1/2, Er-Du-La won the back with a + 1 1/2 and Do-To-Br won the 18 with a +4 (we think). Don's scorecard was a little less than clear and it was decided that he must attend "Scorecard School" and refresh some of the basic skills......adding, subtracting, and stuff like that!

NEWS

We had a "Moody sighting" Saturday. Apparently Bob came out and played a couple of holes with the boys. From what I hear, the short game and putting were almost normal, and a little more work (strength) will be needed for the driver. Welcome back, Bob!
