The weather is holding and so is our attendance. Temperatures are supposed to drop a little (50's) over the next week or so and that's warm enough to play. So plan accordingly. We had 10 golfers for the Thursday edition of "Golfing for Dollars" and over half were wearing shorts ......... it's the middle of December for cryin' out loud.

Individual Honors
We had a tie for the points title today, so we looked for a picture of the two winners. Unfortunately we didn't have one, so we had to go with SOP and dig deep into the HHH & S archives to find an appropriate picture that would closely represent the winners.
With that being said, I'm pleased to announce that Walter and Brent were the big hitters today with scores of +4. Unfortunately, the group got so spread out during the round that it wasn't possible for everyone to enjoy the "camaraderie" that comes with such a momentous win. (The last foursome finished almost an hour after the first threesome) . Hergy, Duke and Don all finished second with +3's (big deal....we still lost). Nevertheless, we had a decent number of "okay" rounds. Hergy, Duke, Tommy and Brent all shot 41's (all on Laurel) for the low nine for the day. Medalist honors went to Brent with a decent 83.
Team Competition
The two threesomes split all the team money today. The group of Ernie, Brent and George won the back with a +2 1/2 (back -2 1/2), Walt, Ron and Duke won the front with a +7 1/2 (back -2 1/2), and managed to win the 18 with an overall +5. The foursome of Hergy, Larry, Tommy and Don finished the day with a +2 (+3 1/2, -1 1/2). Good enough for nothing....except paying our money.

NEWS
********
I am going to send a football bowl contest to you under a separate e-mail. If you want to play (contribute), you can give me your money either next Tuesday at golf or at the dinner that evening. I think we'll contribute $5.00 per entry, anyone can join, and the money will be split 75% - 1st Place, 15% - 2nd Place, and 10% for 3rd. I think the thing is pretty self explanatory.
