Holy golf courses, Batman, we set a new attendance mark today: 14 golfers came out to test their mettle in the HHH & S golf wars. A warm welcome to first time (2008) attendees: TV Louie and St. George, and of course it was good to see Marshall and Walt come out of hibernation again to contribute their hard-earned money to the pot.

POINTS

We had a three-way tie for the points lead during today's round. Tommy, Hergy and Ron all finished the round with a +6 point accumulation. Because of our new rule about publishing pictures of only the beautiful people in 2008, I thought it unfair to just publish that of Duh Editor (who qualifies) and not that of Ron and Tommy (who don't). So in the spirit of political correctness, I won't publish any. TV Louie finished the day at +5 and Brent at +4. Lots of good scores on an almost perfect golf day. Brent was the medalist with an 81. Close behind was Moody and Tommy with 82's. Hergy had an 83 and Ron finished with an 84.

NINES

Notable 9 holes scores turned in were: Ron (38) , Hergy (39) , Moody and Brent (40), Brent had a (41) and Tommy had two (41's). Wow, lots of great scoring today. Watch out, POYboy, looks like everybody is after your trophy!

TEAMS

With fourteen players, we played 2 threesomes and 2 foursomes and as you might expect with as many good scores as we had today, there were some ties. The team of Tommy, Hergy and Larry eked out a front nine tie at +3 1/2 with the foursome of Ron, Jack, George and Marshall. The back nine and the 18-overall was won by the foursome of TV Louie, Walter, Don and Duke. They had a big time +11 on the back (Azalea) to win that, and a +2 on the front to turn in a +13 for the round of 18. 2nd place went to the threesome of Ernie, Moody and Brent (+8) - no money, just the "prestige" of ALMOST winning!
