A small turnout today (Tuesday), only 4 golfers for the contest today. As so often happens when the turnout is small, a competitve game other than the Points challenge breaks out. That is exactly what occured this morning.

First, notice how flexible the blog is, we can change titles in an instant!
*
A highly competitive match between "Wannabe" and POYboy and Paintboy and Huskerboy was arranged by mere accident - actually it was determined by cart partners. Playing off Wannabe's handicap strokes were determined and the game began.
*
Of course, the sandbagging POYboy did well considering all of the strokes he "undeservedly gets" and the meager offering that Paintboy and Huskerboy were given forced them to play above their God-given talents, but I digress!
*
The front ended in a tie, the back ended in a tie and Paintboy and Huskerboy stomped the "pretenders" on the accumulated trash 5-3 to win the coveted $1.00 and claim the victory! That's a competitve match!

The scores were very close in this very competitive match. 2 - 88's, an 89 and a 95. Average out to a 90 and that's bogey golf!

Ahoy to the travelers! We miss you guys (we miss your money more though!). The weather has been sunny but windy and cool. We've had rain on a couple of the off days and it's made for some wet conditions. The course is greening up and you'll notice a big difference when you return. Take care and we'll see you in a week!

In case you're wondering why we end up on Dogwood/Azalea every time. We tend to be the third wheel on Tuesday and Thursday. The "Women's Association" tees off ahead of us, usually Azalea/Dogwood and the Dogfight always plays Azalea/Dogwood, so that leaves the reverse (Dogwood/Azalea) open for play during our desired time slots. Not exactly rocket science is it!
