A touch of spring in the air today, almost 80 degrees. Nice turnout, 11 golfers in the pool this morning (actually 10 in the pool, 11 golfing). The nicer weather brought about a little better scoring and certainly better attitudes along with it!

POINTS

Since the stock market is continuing to crash and burn, Tommy decided he needed to get serious about his golf game again and augment his vast wealth with our meager little contributions.

Shooting a very respectable +6 this morning Tommy walked away with the Points title and all the wealth that comes with it. A number of golfers were in the positive numbers this morning, IRSboy and Paintboy were +3, Hergy and TVLouie filed +2's to round out the "higher" point accumulations.

Medalist honors also went to Tommy with an 82 (41-41) with Moody and Hergy bringing up second and third with an 85 and 86 respectively.

NINES

As mentioned above, the scores have improved substantially from last week, must be the weather. Shooting decent nines were:

41 Tommy (2)

42 Moody, Hergy and Paintboy

43 Brent, Moody and Ron

44 Hergy, Brent, Ron and TVLouie

45 Paintboy

Scoring Average today: 90.27 - Grade: C

TEAMS

A split decision today with the threesome of Tommy, Raisin' Cain and Naked Ron (whoops, that should be Naked Gun) posting a + 1 1/2 and a +4 1/2 for a +6 to win the 18. The foursome (only three counted) of TVLouie, Wannbe (aka Orangeboy), Paintboy and Dan posting a +3 1/2 to win one of the nines (not sure which group won what).

The third group played just well enough to win "nuttin' (as they say in Brooklyn) shooting even rounds (0) (0) on both the front and the back side.

ITEMS

Attention Travelers - those of you heading out on/near the 15th...... you will no doubt encounter some type of spousal interference about priorities involving your upcoming trip etc. ,so get your act together and get organized so that you can join us on the 14th.
