We had seven golfers this morning. The weather was fantastic, although the courses were cart path only, with good reason, but the quality of the game didn't suffer to much.
*
Putting continues to be difficult as the greens have not been prepared very well since the rain (that's politically correct verbage for "nothing has been done to them", including changing the pin placements). Anyway, the courses are playing long, no roll in the fairways, and no bump and run to the green.
POINTS
Tommy won the Points competition again today with a +3, but I didn't want to use his picture again because it scares all of the little kids and puppies that view the blog. Instead, I decided to use a picture of the better half, which is a lot more pleasing to look at!

The Paintboy was a stroke behind at +2. The Naked Gun at +1 was the only other plus score of the day. To be fair, of the remaining players, 3 others were at -1. Only one was worse than that (-6), no names to protect the innocent (and golfers with a bad score).

NINES
(at least bogey golf)
*
Medalist honors for today also go to Bankerboy with an 85 (43-42). Ron was close behind at 87, Don and Brent shot 88's, Herg had an 89 for the last of the bogey or better rounds.

TEAMS

A clean sweep for the foursome of Tommy, Don, Hergy and Dan today. Posting a +3 1/2 on the front (Dogwood) and a -1/2 on the back (Azalea) for an 18 hole total of +3. Not great, but good enough to win the money.

The threesome of Moody, Ron and Brent finished in the minus column and paid up like real gentlemen. They had a bunch of points to pull (65) for a threesome and struggled with those lofty expectations. The sun was in their eyes, course didn't help, blah, blah, blah. Ah, what the hell! They got stomped!

ITEMS

A new record (of sorts) was established today. Hergy hit the ball into an Azalea bush on three consecutive swings. Where you may ask is the record in that? It was the same bush! Needless to say, Hergy didn't score any points on that display of golf skill. Way to go Herg!

Looks like a great day of golf for Saturday......see you then......... 10:40 tee time.
