*****MASTER'S WEEK*****
*
We had a nice turnout of 12 golfers this morning, seems like the warmer temperatures gets everyone all fired up to go out and suffer the indignities of this game. From a glance at the score cards though, most everyone is still struggling and putting seems to be the culprit. The greens are really fast and its hard to read the breaks (for those of you who can read them).
*
Fairways are shaping up and the course seems to be improving a little each time we play. The gravel pits (a.k.a. sand traps) are really bad....maybe we should play them as ground under repair....until they actually have sand in them. I take that back, I think Brent actually had one shot today from a bunker that had a substance resembling sand in it! Anyway, here are the results for the day:

POINTS
Well, Well, Well , lookie who the Points Champion is for today. The Florence Flash (a.k.a. NASCAR Ernie) stopped terrorizing us with his cart driving long enough to play an astonishing round of golf. "NASCAR" finished the day with a total of +8, which included shooting a 39 on Dogwood. This outcome is almost as dramatic as Clemson winning a close game.....in any sport! (Oops, sorry I forgot, they don't win those!)
*
TV-Louie finished in the runner-up spot with a +4 and the Paint-boy managed a +3 to round out the better point totals for the day.
*
The scoring average for today was a 90.5, which as you know is right at BOGEY golf. On the HHH & S scoring sheet that a grade of "C"

Now that I look at his, only 45% of the rounds today were bogey or better. I'm surprised that the scoring average was as good as it was.

TEAM COMPETITION
*
Not much of a competition today as the team of Jack, Walt, Larry and Ernie walked away with the whole shootin' match. They won it all! They posted a +8.5 on Dogwood and a 2.5 on Azalea to finish at +11 for the eighteen.
*
The team of Brent, Hergy, Don and Louie finished second with a +5 (+6.5, -1.5) and Duke, Ron, Tommy and George brought up the rear with a -3 (+2.5, - 5.5).
