*****Pre-MASTER'S WEEK*****
*
Six golfers this morning for a pre-rain round of golf. The Laurel course, which played a little "rough" on Thursday seemed to be in better shape, at least the greens seemed to roll better!
*
******POINTS******
The little troll from TV-land has been hot, hot, hot the last week or so. TV-Louie was the point winner today posting a +4 performance that contained two birdies on the back (Laurel) nine. Last couple of rounds Louie has won and placed second in points before his performance today. Hey Louie, save it for this summer.
POY-boy had a real nice +6 (was it those new golf clubs or your superior skill shining through?), but fell short of the troll's sandbagging efforts!
*
Louie and Paint-boy tied for the medalist honors this morning with a pair of 86's, Hergy was close behind with an 87.
*****NINES*****
Pretty decent scores this morning. The scoring average was a very good 88.3, which grades out at a "C". Just a hair below the bogey mark. Anytime we shoot below that bogey threshold we should celebrate! Yeah!
-40-
Louie, Don
-42-
Hergy
-43-
Duke
-45-
Hergy, Larry (2), Walt

Good shooting guys!

TEAM COMPETITION
************************
*
We had a very "competitive" team score today which resulted in a split decision. The team of Walt, Larry and Duke shot an impressive +8 on the front (Dogwood) to salvage a split.
*
However, the winning team (Backnine-Laurel and 18) of Louie, Hergy and Don finished with a + 2 on the front but rocketed to a +12 on the back, thanks to four birdies, to finish with a 2008 record +14 points for the eighteen.
*
Best hole of the day: #5 Laurel - 2 birdies (Louie, Hergy)and a Par (Don) - (8 points)
*
*****ITEMS*****
*
If we are going to try and get a tee time for April 5th - Saturday- it looks like it could we could have a problem. The course is pretty well booked up until 1:00 as a result of the Master's Splash tournament. Give it some thought and maybe we'll just decide to fold it up for the day or else play late?
