Note the change of courses for Thursday, April 3rd
Aiken Golf Club
*
We had kind of a goofy start to the round today. After 1 1/2 holes, it was decided that the pace of play was going to be unacceptable and we switched from Aza/Dog to Laurel/Azalea
m
It seems one of the ladies foursomes (walkers) teed off late and we ran into them on the second hole. After waiting for 5-7 minutes to tee off and then another 5-7 minutes to hit the second shot, it was determined to cut out losses and go. Good decision!
m*We had 11 golfers to start and lost one (Duke) along the way. Nice day, a little muggy but all in all a pretty good day.
******POINTS*****
*
We had a very strange situation today with regard to the winning point totals. For the first time I can remember we had four (4) golfers tie with the identical score of +4. Somehow, Ron, Brent, Larry and TV-Louie all had the magical number. In addition, we had two others a stroke behind at +3 (Dan and Marshall). Is that some crazy golf scoring or what?8
Medalist honors in this fiasco went to Ron and Brent (a tie, what else) with 85's. Brent had a "regular" 44-41, while the Naked Gun had a 39-46 (Ouch on the 46.....compared to a 39!) to lead all contestants to win the grand prize of "0".

TEAM COMPETITION
*************************
The team of Brent, Larry and Louie almost had a sweep of the team event since each of the sandbaggers posted a +4 point total (see above) and they finished at +12 (+8.5, +3.5) for the 18.
m
The team of Ron, Dan and Hergy prevented the sweep by finishing the front nine (Laurel) in + 9 1/2, thanks to Ron's two birdies, Dan's 8 points (his 18 hole total was +6) and Hergy playing well enough not to take points away.
k
The final group of ERA, Moody, Tommy and Marshall struggled most of the day to keep their collective head above the water line. They posted a -1/2 and a - 11/2 = -2 to finish in third place.
