Considering the weather over the last 24 - 48 hours, what a great day to play golf today! As you are aware we decided to forego our "regular" golf program today in favor of playing in the HCC Senior Spring Golf Tournament. We were able to field 10 golfers from the ranks of the HHH & S for this event.
*
Initially, the challenge of playing "real golf" with "real rules" seemed like a great idea, but by the end of the round I think we are all a little more "thankful" that we use the Points format and cap everything at double bogey. However, as disappointed and frustrated everyone seemed at the end, the results listed below tell a different story. There were two flights, one from the Gold Tees and one from the Whites. Obviously, we all competed in the Gold flight.

CONGRATULATIONS
**********************

FIRST PLACE - GROSS (81)

Bob shot a gross 83 (69 net) to capture 1st place. Only paying ONE place, Bob wins a "cool" $40.00 for his effort today. Bob played well (obviously), keeping the ball in play and chipping and putting like the Moody we all know!

Congrats Bob!

FIRST PLACE - NET (67)

Brent has been playing great golf during our weekly sessions and today proved that it was no mistake. The "Wannabe" was five strokes under his handicap to easily walk away with the $40.00 first place money.

SECOND PLACE - NET (71)
-
Yes golfing fans, the 2005 - 2006- 2007 Player of the Year proved his merit in finishing SECOND, shooting a NET - 71.

Congratulations to Larry for his great finish. He told me before the round he was hoping that he didn't embarass himself with his performance today. Obviously you didn't. With your $25.00 in winnings you can buy a NEW CLUB - whoops he already did. Well now you can pay for it!
*

THIRD PLACE - NET (73) - actually this was a tie determined by a scorecard playoff

I guess this is a case we will refer to in the future as proof that that "ol' blind pig" still finds that acorn every now and then. Congratulations to the "Florence Flash" for eeking out a scorecard victory over TV-Louie, It was very close as Micah had to go to the third tie breaker to determine the winner. Congrats to Ernie on winning 3rd place and the $15.00 that goes with it!

"THE LITTLE PEOPLE"

In Order of Finish - Nets (Grosses are too embarassing)

Louie - 73 (Lost Tie Breaker)

Duke - 74

Ron - 75

Don - 76

Herg - 82

Marshall 84

All things considered, I think we all had a great time! How can you beat playing golf in great weather, with great friends on a great golf course! It sure as heck beats workin' . Congrats again to the winners, you all played well and deserve the winnings!

See you Saturday - those of you who can make it!
