Sorry for the late blog but had a few commitments to handle before I could get to it! We had 5 players show up for the Saturday morning contest. It was a little windy and overcast, no not exactly...it was windy and sunny, no not really......... it was less windy but it rained, and then it turned sunny and hot. I don't know, sounds like spring to me!

*****SKINS*****
*
Since we had an odd number of players (5) the game was switched to $.25 SKINS from our normal POINTS format in order to insure a hotly competitive match. The winner this morning, and deservedly so, was the big hitter from Husker-land. Hergy won a total of 8 Skins, second place went to NASCAR Ernie with 5, Paint-boy had 3, and Naked Gun and POY-boy had 1 each. The contest was fairly close all day with Hergy winning the final hole (#9 Laurel) with a Par and scooping up 3 skins to "seal the deal".Medalist honors went to the "NASCAR sandbag" from Florence with an 87 (that would have been a +5 point margin had we been playing points). Don and Ron were close behind with 88's and Hergy was 2 off the pace with a 89 and Larry was at +2 (93) to round out the scoring.
*****ROUNDS*****
*
Even though the day was less than perfect, everyone seemed to bring their "A" game. We had a low of 87 to a high of 93, (see above for details) that grades out to a 89.00 average for the day. If anybody could putt consistently the scores would have been better than that.

*****ITEMS*****
*
Unless we want to go to another course on Saturday, it appears that we will have a day off. The Joe Wyatt Memorial High School Tournament is scheduled for the weekend and there are no tee times available for the unwashed rabble. We'll take a quick check on Tues-Thurs to see if there is any interest in going somewhere else.

In case you're interested: The results of a recent poll indicated that Louie was the biggest sandbagger in the HHH & S, followed by NASCAR and a tie between Wanna-be and Paint-boy. BTW, This poll was conducted by the same group that said Hillary Clinton would win the Democratic nomination for President by a landslide.
