Well, it was certainly good to be back home (HCC) after our visit to North Augusta CC. We had a full boat today, 12 golfers showed up for a chance to unseat one of the "semi-permanent" sandbaggers (we have 3 golfers who meet that definition) that seems to have sprung up in our midst.
*
Alas, as you will note a little later on, it was all in vain! These three yahoos seem to have a hammerlock on the Points contest and are determined to pass it back and forth. The good news was that I was, for once, teamed with one of the 'major" offenders and was able to ride his coattails to a monetary reward!
*****POINTS*****
*
You may think this is a picture of Reverend Wright (Obama's friend), but you'd be wrong. This is a picture of our little sandbaggin' buddy TV-Louie who posted a gross +10 point total to win the individual monetary reward today. They have a similar problem.....that of telling the truth about their golf scores. Second place ($0) went to sandbagger #2, POY-boy who posted a measley +5 today. It makes my heart feel good to see these sandbaggers trying to outdo each other. Kind of like watching some animal eat their young!
*
The medalist for the round today was TV-Louie (83), followed one stroke later by the Banker-boy(84).

*****TEAMS*****
Since the Points title has recently resided in the hands of "you know who", the Team competition remains the primary avenue of competition for the "TRUE" golfers. The foursome of Tommy, Moody, Hergy and Louie won 2/3rd's of the team competition today. This group won the back with a +9 and the 18 with an overall +13 ( +4 Aza, +9 Dog = +13).
*
Winning the front with a +7 was the foursome of Jack, Ernie, Dan and Walt. The back however was not kind to the boys as they posted a -10 for a -3 score on the 18.
*
The last foursome played well, but not well enough to win either nine, scoring a +3 1/2 on the front (losing by 1/2 stroke) and a +51/2 on the back (losing by 3.5). It's a case of unfortunate placement and ........had a certain person pictured above not rolled in a 35 foot putt from off the green on #9 Azalea for a birdie...they probably would have won. He (being the person pictured above) also made a long downhill putt from about 20' on #18 for a birdie to help seal the deal on that 9 as well!
*
*****ITEMS*****
Note that our times for the next several WEEKDAYS will be in the 9:30 range as opposed to our more familiar 10:00- 10:30 slots.
*
New Rule #1: There will be NO WHINING allowed about what "could have been", especially when you are a sandbagger and you are already winning. Cussing, swearing, slamming your club down and slashing your wrists are still allowed however.
*
New Rule #2: Should anyone be maimed, mangled, run-over or be beaten with a club to the extent that they cannot finish their round, they are still required to pay their money into the pot. In the event of a death on the course, we will take a vote!
