We had 8 golfers this morning - rather chilly to start, but it did improve as the morning progressed. The course is improving, but still is a little behind several other area courses in terms of "golfability", according to our "informed" sources. Master's Week is here and the course wasn't really crowded in the least. We played quite fast and only had to wait on one hole.

*****POINTS*****
Yes golf fans, the Naked Gun was the Points winner today. Our thanks to an "anonymous" contributor for sending me today's picture. I tried to blow up the picture to see what was above Ron's lips, I at first thought it was some type of furry centipede but then realized it was a "stache". Must be a Wofford thing! I think we will need to consider a change to his nickname from "Naked Gun" to "Chick Magnet". He is HOT, HOT, HOT!
*
Ron posted a +6 total to easily win the challenge today. Hergy and Brent were next with measly +2's. A little bit of overkill I think! However, the good news is that he will rapidly approaching his "peter principle" with his handicap and will fall back into the slag heap with the rest of us!
*
Speaking of being in the "slag heap", several of our group (primarily my golfing partners today) are so deep in the slag heap that double bogey is beginning to look good.

*****NINES*****
Talk about a dazzling performance this morning, the "Clemson Wannabe" blew everybody away with a big time 38 on the Azalea. Considering the green speed and the pin placements today that is a fantastic score. Congrats to Brent!

TEAM COMPETITION
Not even close today. The foursome of Moody, Brent, Ron and Don won all three contests with ease. Shooting a -1 on the Azalea, they bounced back to a +6 on the Dogwood to finish the 18 at +5, way more than necessary.
*
The dysfunctional team of POY, Nascar Ernie, Banker-boy and Husker-boy sucked! If you notice the "Nines" above, you'll notice only one listing for a round below bogey. This group struggled to an ugly -3 on the front, but really began to reach their ultimate potential on the back, soaring to a wonderful -13 to finish the eighteen at -16. Shooting scores of 99, 98, 95 and 88, they were glad there were only 18 holes!
*
If you think that's something, consider that the -16 score is actually better than the way they played. Without naming names, one player was +2, another at "0", but overcoming a woeful -12 and a -6 was more difficult than sitting through a Tommy Bowden press conference. Less painful as well!
