Obviously, I've returned from our trip and am ready to start "blogging" again. Many thanks go to Don for his efforts of blogging the results and keeping things "organized" while Marti and I were helping to boost the world's economies.*******************

I'm glad we're finally home, I was beginning to suffer from golf-withdrawal and as you know, that can be a very dangerous disease. From the looks of it though, I would have been contributing a lot of money to the pot had I stayed home given the scores and the lowering of most every one's handicaps. The scores have been great, I hope I catch whatever been causing it!
*Seven golfer's today, Tommy was present but opted to play with his son and grandson rather than contributing to Brent's retirement fund. I was pleased to find the golf course is in great shape and surprised at some of the changes on a couple of the holes.
******POINTS*****
Wow, the Clemson "Wanna-be" was smokin' today! Brent blew everyone away with a +8 performance resulting in a 2008 record-setting score of 77. Actually, he smoked a lot less after I accidentally ran over his cigar on the Azalea course. Sorry about that Brent!
*
He shot a dazzling 39-38 to run away with the title. Obviously, he was also the medalist. Great round of golf! We will be watching to see that old handicap plummet, but in the meantime enjoy it...... it was a great round!
"Teflon" Bob was second with a +3 point total and a round of 80 for today. (I decided on "teflon" because we can't seem to find a nickname that "sticks" for long).

*****NINES*****
-38- Brent, Moody -39- Brent -40- -41- -42- Moody, Don
-43- Duke(2) -44- Hergy -45- Ron

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
FRONT, BACK and 18 Winners: The team of Brent, Ron and Hergy took home all the cookies today. Posting a +1 1/2 on Dogwood, +1 1/2 on Azalea for an overall 18 hole total of +3. Brent did all the heavy lifting today with his +8 performance, Ron and Hergy just kind of rode his coat tails and tried to keep the negative scores to a minimum.
SECOND PLACE:
The team of Don, Bob and Duke came close but couldn't overcome Brent's record-setting performance, posting a +1 on the front, a -1 on the back for an 18 hole total of "0".
