We had a nice group today, even though it was just prior to the 4th of July break. Eight golfers braved the warm (not hot) weather and numerous pre-holiday family obligations in order to make our bi-weekly financial donations to some "needy" golfing friend.
*
Turns out our "needy" golfing friend isn't needy at all. It's the the Banker-boy and he barely edged out Marshall and Bob M. by one stroke to win the "big bucks". Tommy shot a +4 to win the event this AM, besting the +3's shot by the other "needy" golfers represented above. Since I was on his team and a recipient of his good round, I though it was great! The team competition was a bizarre piece of work again today. The team of Ron, Marshall, Bob and Duke claimed 2/3 rd's of the team funds with a -2 (Win) on the back (Azalea) and a +4 (Loss) on the Front nine (Dogwood) to finish the 18 in +2 (Win).
The competition, however, didn't play quite that steady of golf. After surging out to a Front nine victory of +8 1/2 (Win), the ditzy combo of Tommy, Don, Hergy and Larry crashed and burned to a -8 1/2 (Loss) on the Azalea course to stumble to an ugly 18 hole total of "0" (Loss).

It took me a while to get this blog published today. As you know, we took a bunch of pictures on our recent trip and I've been on the computer for hours editing pictures. In fact, the computer got soo hot I had to let it cool off before I could use it to write the blog. If you don't think so check this out! http:/www.flamingcursor.com/ Now that's hot! :-)
HAVE A SAFE AND SANE 4TH OF JULY
