We had 12 golfers out today (11 regulars and a visitor). Turned out to be a great day for golf, the humidity was down as was the temperature...to bad the scores weren't as well.

*****POINTS*****
As you can see, the POY has returned to the top of his perch. Larry put on a dazzling (for him) display of golf on the back nine today, shooting a 40 on the Dogwood to cap off his +3 round which earned him the title.*

Louie and Marshall were close at +2 but couldn't quite close the deal on the three-time POY.*

"Teflon" Bob was the medalist today with an 82 - closest golfers to him were Larry and Hergy with 86's.

Hang in there everyone, the handicaps are starting to take there toll on everyone. We have about 3-4 of our group that have temporarily reached their "Peter Principal" and there scores are coming back to Earth. POY.....you're about due to fall as well!*

*****NINES*****
-37- Bob -40- Larry, Hergy -41- Louie, Ron, Tommy -43- Duke

-44- Ernie, Don, -45- Bob M, Marshall, Frank Ducat (visitor)

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
*
We had a tie for the Team Championship today. The team of Larry, Duke and Hergy hustled their way to a double victory today. winning the front (Azalea) with a score of "0" and winning the 18 with a total score of +3.
*
Claiming the other nine was the team of Louie, Ron, Jack and Tommy. Unfortunately for them they started there push a little late. After a horrendous front nine (-9), they found their game and posted a spectacular +9 on the back, winning that but only improving their overall 18 hole total to "0".
*
The team of Ernie, Bob M, Marshall and Don fell into the middle scoring area, not good enough to win, but close enough to be competitive. They finished at -5 for the front and a +1 on the back for an 18 hole total of -4.
*
*****ITEMS*****

Congratulations are in order for Tommy. He scored a HOLE IN ONE at Palmetto on Hole # 11, a 136 yard Par 3. Tommy aced it with his 8 iron! Congrats Tommy! (Boy, that makes me thirsty...hint! hint!)
