We had a turnout of seven golfers this morning. It was a little warmer than we had hoped but it is July in the South. Duh!
*
We had a chance to play the Laurel course this morning. The recent rain has saved that course! Because of the water pump malfunction, the course, last time we played it, was in real danger of just drying up and blowing away. Right now, it's in good shape and you are able to play a decent round of golf. That's good news!

*****POINTS*****
Hold on too your spray guns and clean up your paint brushes Ollie, the Paint Boy has won again. The Paint-boy, shown here, exulting his dominance over the "chicken-men" as he refers to them, shot a very decent +5 this morning, easily outpointing Hergy and Walt (+2's).*
Don also walked away with the medalist honors shooting an 82, which included 3 doubles. Hey Don, lighten up boy, you're killing us! Sooner or later (hopefully sooner), your handicap has got catch up! Doesn't it?
*
*****NINES*****
*
-40- Don, Hergy -42- Don -43- Tommy
*
-44- Walt, Ernie -45- Larry, Ernie
*****TEAM COMPETITION****
*
The team competition turned out not to be a competition. The team of Walt, Hergy, Don and Larry easily handled the group of Ernie, Tommy and Dan.
*
Winning the Laurel (front) by a margin of +8 1/2 to -4, and Azalea (back) -1 1/2 to -3, allowed for a rather easy 18 hole victory of +7 to -7.
