We had 7 golfers out for the event today. The Laurel course was ready and waiting to destroy what little game and confidence we have......and it succeeded!

*****POINTS*****

Returning to the winner's circle after a 2 1/2 week absence was the "ol' Stump Driver" himself, Duke!

Shooting a +5, Duke soared above the closest competitors, Don and Bob, who could manage only a +2. Duke's victory was due in part to the fact that he shot a blistering 39 on the back - Azalea - and that added up to the BIG money victory!

Bob was the medalist, shooting a very nice 81 to win NOTHING but bragging rights and a lot of o-o-oh's and a-a-ah's from his admiring cadre of golf groupies!

Not a lot of scores to post as the Laurel course still beats us up pretty good. It was one of those days though that one foursome was vastly superior to the other with everyone shooting in the mid to low 80's:

-39- Duke, Bob -40- Brent -42- Don, Bob, -44- Don

-45- Larry, Hergy(2), Brent, Duke

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

A clean sweep in the team category for the team of Brent, Don, Bob and Duke. They scored a -2 to win the front - Laurel - and a +10 to win the back - Azalea- bringing their 18 hole total to a +8.

The recipient of this onslaught was the team of Jack, Larry and Hergy. They posted a -9 1/2 on Laurel, a -4 1/2 on the Azalea to finish the 18 at -14. A very poor showing indeed!
