NOTE: We had a late tee time this morning - 10:24am - for those of you who didn't play and it worked out quite well, even though it was a little later than our usual summer hours.

We didn't so much as see another group on the course. Many times the tee time choice comes down to playing earlier (cooler) and waiting on the tees, etc. or playing later (hotter) and not waiting. My read of everyone, is that most would prefer to play and move quicker (play later) than to wait around and play earlier. If I'm wrong let me know as it will affect our future tee time selections.

Today was a RECORD SETTING day for the HHH&S crew. Five new 2008 records were set during today's round: Low Individual Score (76), Highest Team Points (+22), Lowest team average (82.5), and Highest Individual Points (+12), Largest Winning Margin (+32). Other than that is was just a quite Thursday morning of golf.

Wow, what can I say about today's POINTS Champion other than he was HOT!, HOT!, HOT! Don shot an incredible +12 Point total to toast all other pretenders. Next closest was TV Louie with +8, which ordinarily is a dynamite score and sure winner, but not today! POY-boy also had a great round at +6, but finished a distant third.

In addition, Don was the medalist with a 2008 best of 76 (shooting 38-38). Don kept waiting for the bubble to burst, but he played almost flawless golf the entire round! Louie also finished second in the medalist race with an 82, 6 strokes behind the Paint-boy!

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

As is evidenced by the information above, today was one of those days when one team had it all going their way and the other team struggled. The team of Larry, Don, Hergy and Brent won all the accolades this morning. Finishing the front in +13 1/2 (Dogwood) and then shooting a +8 1/2 on the back (Azalea) to finish the 18 at +22. Unfortunately for the others, this group had an average score of 82.5 for the round, shooting 76, 84, 85, 85.

The unfortunate recipient of this onslaught was the team of Tommy, Duke, Walt and Louie. They struggled to a -3 on the front, a -7 on the back to finish the 18 at -10.

It wasn't but a week ago the a score of -7 won the team event and -3 was the Points winner. Is this game fickle or what?
