We had a nice turnout this morning. Eleven golfers joined the fray (10 competitors/1 guest) as the weather finally cooperated and provided us with a great morning (cooler w/ fairly low humidity). Rumor has it that Wednesday/Thursday could be very wet, they are predicting that a number of thundershowers are headed this way and will supposedly disrupt our regular game. Tune in to see how that turns out!

*****POINTS*****

We had a tie for the points championship this morning between a couple of Wofford graduates. "NASCAR Ernie" and the "Naked Gun" managed to accumulate +5 points to win the competition this morning.*
"Wanna-be" and the "Bug-eater" tried to chase down the winners but fell a little short, but close behind with +4's.
In addition to almost winning the point championship, Brent was the medalist for the session, shooting a very nice 81 (41-40). Four golfers finished second with 84's (Hergy, Ron, Ernie and Tommy).

*****NINES*****
A number of nice Nines this morning as the weather seemed to agree with most of the golfers.
-38- Ernie -39- Hergy
-40- Brent, Tommy -41- Ron, Brent -42- Larry -43- Ron
-44- Duke(2),Tommy, -45- Hergy, Don Louie

******TEAM COMPETITION*****
We had a sweep this morning in the team competition. Even with a rather "competitive" contest for points, the team competition ended up rather one-sided.
*
The team of Ron, Ernie and Don posted a +1/2 to win the front, a +5 1/2 on the back for an 18 hole score of +6.
*
Second place which, as you know pays "0" , went to the team of Hergy, Brent, Louie and Larry. Shooting a - 1 1/2 on the front and a +4 1/2 on the back, finishing the 18 in a +3.
*
Last, and evidently earning the honor was the team of Duke Tommy and Jack. They finished at "0" on the front , +2 on the back and therefore +2 for the 18, barely getting beaten by the above foursome.

That's all for today, bring your snorkels for Thursday....it could be nasty
