We had two threesomes for golf today (that's 6 golfers for those of you that were home-schooled) and a very nice day to play. We had a little cooling trend and the day was rather pleasant, at least we didn't sweat like pigs racin' for the food wagon! (I have no idea what that means!).

*****POINTS*****

Well, well, well, lookie who was the winner today. One of my all time favorite golfers and all-round sports guru! The big "Bug-Eater" from Huskerland prevailed (that's Big 12) over the SEC, SoConn and ACC wanna-be's. Ah yes, football is in the air!

Hergy shot a +4 to eek out a victory over the returning POY-boy, who carded a +3. In addition, Herg was the medalist shooting an 85 to outpoint his team mates, the "Wofford Twins", Ron and Larry who shot 88,s.

*****NINES*****
You will note a noticeable lack of scores from today. Out of 12 possible 9's only 5 are listed below, and in a preview of things to come below (Team Competition), 4 of the 5 listed rounds were on the same team.
-40- Hergy -41- Ron -44- Larry (2) -45- Ernie

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
As alluded to above, the team competition was a clean sweep. The team of Ron, Larry and Hergy had all the answers today, winning the front with a score of + 9 1/2 to some "unreported number" and winning the back with a dismal - 1 1/2 to a "undisclosed number" and therefore winning the 18 by a bunch!
*
The team of Walt, Ernie and Don somehow lost their scorecard from the cart area to the grill, but were able to report their scores which were all in the low ninety's! Don't worry, we still reported their scores to the Pro shop!
