We had a nice turnout this morning, 9 1/2 golfers showed for the "golfing experience" of a life time. (Dan played 9 - hence the 1/2). Kind of muggy, but all in all not to bad a day to play golf.
:The greens are finally coming back, a little bumpy, but way better than a week ago. Now if they can only get them to putt similar, we would be set.

*****POINTS*****
I'm at a loss as to how to put today's performance into the proper perspective. How does someone go from averaging over 99 strokes (98.857 to be exact) for the last 7 times they've played, to shooting an 85 and scoring 13 points. Which, by the way, is a new 2008 season record.:
It also is higher than most of the Wofford graduates can count without taking off their shoes. (They are a Liberal Arts College after all) Therefore, it appears that Jack is the BIG STUD CHICKEN in this Hen house for today.
: Jack's monster day totally obliterated pretty good rounds by Brent (+6) and Hergy (+5).
:
Brent was able to wrest away the Medalist honors however with a sub-80 round of 79. Teflon Bob was second with an 80.

*****POINTS*****
Pretty decent scoring day today with 7 of the 9 shooting under 90. The highest score was 92 and the lowest was 79. The group average was a very respectable 85.6. Only two scores were over 45.
**
-38- Brent -39- Hergy, Bob
-40- Tommy -41- Bob, Brent -42- Duke, Jack
-43- Don, Jack -44- Larry -45- Ron, Tommy, Don, Hergy

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
-
As you can probably guess, when a player scores +13 it has "somewhat" (sic) of a bearing on the team game. As a result of Jack's outstanding effort, his team of Duke and Don swept the team competition. Shooting a +8 for the front (Azalea) and a +8 for the back (Dogwood), they posted a +16 for the 18.
:
The team of Larry, Hergy, and Brent finished second at +10 and the team of Bob, Ron and Tommy brought up the rear at +3.
:
Wasn't it just a couple of weeks ago that we had a stretch of three or four outings when the winner had negative numbers? Where o' where have those days gone!
:
If Jack continues to play like this, we're going to ship him down to Charleston -consider this your first warning Jack!
