**
We had a great turnout this morning. The course, and the greens in particular, continue to improve. We had eleven (11) golfers show for the competition, including a couple of irregulars (those are regulars that don't play as often anymore).
:
After seeing Jack's miraculous rise from the ashes, I think they thought that they could "cash-in" and steal the victory, but that was not to be the case!
:*****POINTS*****
I'm at somewhat at a loss of words (imagine that!). I don't even know where to start with this part of the blog.:
It's as though Jack's game has literally "risen from the ashes". Two weeks ago, Jack was having trouble breaking 100 and now he wins in consecutive days, by very large margins, and shooting scores in the 80's.
:
Last Tuesday he wins with a +13 (that's still boggles my mind) and today he follows it up with a +8 for convincing 4 stoke victory to secure his back-to-back wins.
:
Much like last Tuesday, Brent was the medalist with a very nice 81 (37-44) and Don stumbles in third with an 83.
:
*****NINES*****
Not quite as many good scores on the lower end of our range as there was on Tuesday, but some pretty good rounds - lot of good it does with Jack scoring like he is!
:
-37- Brent -39- Don
-41- Ernie -42-Hergy, Larry, Tommy
-43- Jack, Hergy, Duke -44- Brent, Ron, Don
-45- Tommy

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
:
We had another strange occurrence in the team competition this morning. F or the first time I can remember, we had three winners - no ties - with one team winning the front, another winning the back and the third winning the eighteen.
:
The team of Brent, Hergy, George and Duke won the front (Dogwood) with a very impressive +12 1/2. (-7 1/2 on the back - Azalea = +5 overall)
:
The team of Larry, Ron, Don and Tommy won the back with a +7 1/2. (-3 1/2 on the back = +4 overall)
:
Falling into the middle of those scores, the team of Jack, Ernie and Marshall posted a +3 1/2 on the front, a +6 1/2 on the back t0 finish the overall 18 at +10.
:
Everybody wins a little of their money back, except Jack and he wins a lot!
