We had kind of a light turnout this morning. Five golfers managed to overcome their "fears" of a little wet weather (that never happened) and played a SKINS game, in relatively humid conditions.

Hergy was the big winner of the SKINS game today. Winning a total of 9 skins, the "Bugeater" from Lincoln easily outdistanced the second place finish of Tommy and Ron (4 each) and substantially better than Larry and Don that had ZERO, as in none, nada, zip!

In all truthfulness, Hergy birdied the second hole on the back nine (Azalea #2) which was good for a total of 7 skins and more or less set the stage for a rather easy 1st place finish.

Hergy and Tommy tied for the medalist honors today, shooting 84's to outdistance the 3rd place hacking of Ron (87). Don shot 90 and Larry shot 93 to finish out the scoring.

Putting seemed to be the culprit today for most, although many of the holes were tied and resulted in multiple carryovers for winning the holes. As they say, it's not how, it's how many!

We are going to institute a "College Football Pool" for 2008. We will select 10 teams every week and the sheets will be available on Tuesday, probably on e-mail. You must pick the winners (no odds - straight win/lose) and submit before game time. (Friday at the latest). An additional game will count as a tie-breaker, not a pick, based on total points.

Cost will be three dollars - $2.00 for the weekly winner and $1.00 for the "kitty" for the season winner (most wins). The last games will be the week-end of Thanksgiving. If you submit your entry, you are considered in the pool and will owe the three bucks. Questions?
