I have one hour to go before kick-off so I thought I would get this blog off my to-do list and then sit back and enjoy the first game of the season with one of my three "adopted" southern programs (Clemson, Carolina and Wofford) in addition to several (2) that I brought from the Midwest, those being Wisconsin (Son #3 attended) and Purdue (Sons #1 & 2 attended).
:
My one true passionate never-to-be replaced team of course is the Huskers, and while I'm listing my college football preferences, I would be remiss by not mentioning my three all-time stupid ass programs that I root for whoever is playing against them (Colorado-suck, Notre Dame-suck and Michigan-suck). Anyway, I must admit I prefer College Football over just about any other sport and can't get enough of it! As if you haven't figured that out by now!
:
We had 8 golfers this morning and a beautiful (little warm) day on which to play. The courses are starting to look and play exceptionally well. Most of the greens are back to normal and "IF" you can play in the fairway, the rough won't get you. Unfortunately, the sand traps, especially on the Laurel course are in horrendous shape, almost unplayable. (I should know, I was in 7 of them this morning).

*****POINTS*****
It turns out the Preacher-man paid us a little visit today and ended up sneaking away with the "collection plate", so to speak. George, playing exceptional golf compared to his last several outings scored an impressive +6 today to edge out the Paint-boy by one. By the way, I saw George on the practice green on Tuesday or Wednesday evening - PRACTICING - Come on' George, pretty soon everyone will be doing that!:
The medalist honors today go to Presbyterians favorite son, Robert, shooting an 81 with his new irons, apparently they work well! Paint-boy also finished second (83) in this contest as well!

*****NINES*****
We had 13/16 sub - bogey rounds this morning:
~~
-40- Bob -41- Don, Bob
-42- Don, Hergy, George -43- Tommy
-44- Brent (2), Larry, George -45- Walt, Tommy

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
Things were a little hectic this morning for Duh Editor and I didn't get to collect the particulars (Nine hole totals) of the team competition except to note that it was a sweep.
:
The team of Tommy, Bob, Walt and George stomped the team of Brent, Hergy, Larry and Don pretty good. Unfortunately for the losers, they had only one player in positive numbers Don (+5) for the day and that just won't get it done.
:
The other team (cheaters) either played pretty well or kept score better than we did (I think they did both better actually!) and had 3 of their 4 players in the positive numbers. If that's the case, even a Clemson grad can figure out why they won. I think?
