You kind of need to start watching the times a little closer. A lot of the groups we juggle our tee times with (Women, Peche Group, Dogfight, etc.) are adjusting their starting times as the Fall season approaches. Since I try to schedule around them, our times may fluctuate a little until we settle into our Fall schedule. At this time, we are starting to look towards a 10:00 am start time. Check the blog and everything should follow suit. Having said that:
*
We had a rather large turnout for a Tuesday as we had 11 golfers this morning. Due to a scheduling conflict we were asked to move our second nine to the Laurel, which we did in return for some favorable treatment in the future on start times. Laurel, however, was in a little better shape than when we played it last week....at least it was mowed.

*****POINTS*****

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago when Jack was complaining about his game as he was shooting in the low 100's? It gotten so bad that he even laid down his clubs for a week or so.
*
Well, rest time is over! Jack has come storming back and kickin' butt and takin' names. Winning his third (3rd) time in his last five (5) outings, Jack shot a very nice +6 this morning to win the Points competition. Jack right now is like a cash machine....he's won the last three golf outing and won the football pool ($16) as well.
*
It has been voted on by the HHH & S Revenge Committee that I complete and submit a 1099 Income form to the the IRS. That will teach him! Jack, you win one more time this month and you're toast, I'll have to call Vinnie in from Las Vegas to have a little talk....you know what I mean!
*
Bob was second in the Points with +3 and also was the medalist shooting a very nice 81.

*****SCORES*****
*****
The scores today as a whole were very mediocre. Only three scores in the 80's to go along with 4 @ 90. I think the putting bug has bitten everyone and quite frankly we all need a little break on the putting green! (pun - for Larry). Come to think of it, maybe its not the putting but the damn, stupid chipping out of the crappy, deep, wet, grass-grabbing rough. Let's also not forget our fine quality sandtraps that aid your game and scoring as well!
81 - Bob M
85 - Brent
89 - Ron
90 - Jack, Louie, Duke, Don
In all fairness, we had two at 91 (Hergy, Ernie) and one at 93 (Larry) and one at 94 (Marshall), so we were close, but just missed those crucial putts that make the difference.
*
*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
*****
We had a 1/3 vs 2/3rd's split today for the team competition. The team of Marshall, Jack, Hergy and Brent won the 2/3rd's part by winning the front (Dogwood) with a +5 and winning the 18 with a +4 (falling to a -1 on the back - Laurel).
*
The team of Bob, Duke, Louie won the back (Laurel) with a +3 but failed to navigate the Dogwood scoring a "0" for a +3 18 hole total.
*
Last and least was the team of Larry, Ernie, Don and Ron who managed to play just bad enough to lose the front (+5 to +2_ and slipped on the Laurel (-3) to finish the 18 at -1.
*
*****ITEMS*****
Football picks are due on Thursday for those of you involved in that!
