If you hadn't noticed, we are going to be at 10:00 every golf day for the rest of the month!
Wow, we had a great "cool" Tuesday golf outing. Our numbers are down a little as we had only 5 golfers. I guess between our traveler's, medical leaves and other odd assorted commitments that is going to be the case! In a brief poll conducted by the HHH & S staff, it was 7-0 as to whether or not the long, "wet" rough was a pain in the butt! The grass can't go into hibernation any to soon for most of us!

*****SKINS*****

With only five golfers, we decided to put the points contest on the shelf and play a Skins format, giving strokes to the needy (bad idea by the way). As has been the situation of late, Jack won the contest (seven skins) , 6 of them by simply winning one hole....on which he got a stroke! (How stupid are we?) Paint-boy was second with 4 skins. Everyone had at least one skin.
*
Not only that, but he won the football again and after all of his previous golfing victories (his 4th in seven tries), but his handicap has gone UP. Is that sick or what! Rumor has it that a contract has been put on Jack!
*
In fact, the HHH & S Editorial Board is so tired of seeing Jack's picture that we decided to show Grandpa Brent and his new little grandson born 9/14 (now that's an acceptable reason for missing golf!) Congrats Grandpa Brent and I suppose we should be gracious and say the same to Jack!
*
*****SCORES*****
*
So, even though Jack won the skins game, he ended up with the highest score (93) of the day. Don led all scorers with an 84, Ron posted an 86, Hergy a 89 and Larry shot a 90. everyone finished with even or better using the Point system....and Jack still won!

*****ITEMS*****
October 16th
Second HHH & S College Golf challenge!
Set aside October 16th(Thursday) to see if the alumni from the Wofford Terriers can repeat last year's victory over the teams from Clemson and Carolina. (Those of you with dual loyalties need to advise the Tournament director if you are switching your allegiance and therefore your team.
*
We are trying to find enough players to form a "Independent team" to compete as well.
(We currently have a Georgia/Presbyterian alum and a Cornhusker)
