What a great day for golf! The weather was perfect, all systems were go! Larry had all 21 of his golf clubs ready, along with his three putters, so what more could you ask for!
*
How about asking that Bowden get fired or that Carolina look decent during a game? Oops! sorry, Bowden did get fired, maybe now Spurrier will get the Gamecocks going! Naw! that's still a dream!
*
We had 11 players this morning - 2 foursomes and a threesome. The last group also reported a "Wanna-be" sighting on the 16th hole this afternoon.
*
*****POINTS*****
*
Well, a "fuzz-head" from Wofford won again this morning. Only this time it was a white-haired one that won. Practicing his putting at every opportunity and using every dirty trick in the book, like hitting the ball on the green and driving in the fairway, the "Naked Gun" slithered his way to a +8 score and the ultimate victory.
*
Suffering the loss was the little Keibler elf himself - Lil' Bob. Robert shot a very decent +5, but found that score on the "short-side". The "little bull-dog" did win the medalist honors with a very nice sub-80 round of 79. Ron was close with a nice round of 82

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****
We had a clean sweep in the team competition today. The team of Ernie, Marshall, Ron and Tommy bested the other groups in fairly easy manner. Posting a +5 on the front and a +3 on the back, they coasted to a + 8 - 18 hole victory.
*
Coming in second was the team of Hergy, Larry, Bob and Walter. They posted positive scores of +1/2 on the front, +1 1/2 on the back, finishing at +2 for the day.
*
Third place (last) went to the threesome of TV Louie, 1099-Jack and the Duke. Finishing with an overall 18 hole total of -3, this group kind of ran out of gas along the way. I didn't have their "splits" for the 9's, but hey...they were last!
*
*****ITEMS*****
We were supposed to play the DOGWOOD-AZALEA this morning
not the Azalea-Dogwood
