*****JULY TEE TIMES*****

Saturday, July 25th
10:00 - 10:08 am
Azalea - Laurel

******GENERAL INFORMATION*******

7.5 golfers (Brent joined for 9 after his "Hooked on Golf" commitment). The fairways and the rough have been mowed and you'll notice that the scores did not improve correspondingly. This would lead me to believe that the fault lies in the golfer and not the course. Darn it, I thought I was on the something that resembled a viable excuse, maybe we can blame the equipment.

In other important news, "Mr. 143" continues to pound the ball to unbelievable distances - 147, 152, fairly consistency - enough so that a commission is being formed to look into demanding a possible name change, or to bring charges of misrepresentation against the former Wofford fraud!

*****POINT COMPETITION*****
Points Winners: Hergy +3 (10th Win)
2nd Place: Larry +2

To allow a "lowly" +3 to win is almost unheard of. It just goes to prove that without the ever present sandbaggers (those of you who didn't play today) around to muck up the deal, a real true handicap golfer can achieve fame and fortune on the world's golf stage. Just like Tiger!

Medalist: Bob +82
Second Place: Don +83

We are going to have to almost bronze these two names in this blog since no one can seem to dislodge them from this category.

Low Team Average: 88.25 (Bob, Larry, Don and Walt)

Group Average: 89.00

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

*****AZALEA*****
Team 1 - Jack, Louie and Hergy - 2 1/2
Team 2 - Larry, Bob, Don and Walt -1 1/2

*****LAUREL*****
Team 1 - Jack, Louie and Hergy - 1 1/2
Team 2 - Larry, Bob, Don and Walt + 1/2

*****EIGHTEEN*****
Team 1 - Jack, Louie and Hergy - 4

A -1 is good enough to win, what happened to the days when the winning team was turning in a +10 or +12. Honesty comes to golf - jeez what a concept!
