******GENERAL INFORMATION*******

8 golfers this morning. We would have had 9 but we only had 2 tee times and they were busy enough that we were not allowed to add another time slot, and they wouldn't allow us to play five. Dan was the "unlucky" late arrival that was squeezed out. Sorry Dan! He did promise to join us on Tuesday though!

*****POINT COMPETITION*****

Points Winners: Don +7 (9th Win)
2nd Place: Bob +4

Don is playing so well right now he should be embarrassed having to play with our "ilk" He has, incidentally become the top handicap player in our group, edging out the perennial #1 Bob Moody. Don is now playing at a 12 (Bob is 13) and he still shoots a +7 (77 round). Come on Don, lighten up! If his streak hadn't been going on for so long, I would have thought maybe that plunge in the lake was responsible, but alas tis' not so!

Medalist: Don +77
Second Place: Bob+78

Look at these scores! Us poor little hackers are done!

Low Team Average: 86.75 (Tommy, Duke, Don and Walt)

Group Average: 87.00

***********HONOR ROLL*******************

A sweep! We got smoked today. Next time though, Team 2, you have to count all of your strokes, not just the good ones!

*****COMMENTS*****

Every blog, whether or not you notice, has what I call a "Larry Word" This is a word that most people do not use in normal everyday conversation - except if your in a discussion with you know who!

Today's work is "Ilk" (noun - meaning: family, class or kind). Also, in case you are noting, courtesy of Mr. 143, I learned a new golfing term today as well: Larry divulged that he carries a "cudgel" in his bag and he hit several times today!

Needless to say, Ron, Bob and I were impressed with the skill demonstrated by hitting this rather ancient golf club! We didn't know whether to count that as 1 or 2 clubs towards his limit of 14? Anybody care to venture a guess?!
