***** TEE TIME INFORMATION *****
As of now, unless it is rains before, we are scheduled for 10:58 on Saturday. However, the weather forcast is for "possible" snow and rain for tomorrow (Friday), extending into Saturday.
For now, we have tee times at 11:12 - 11:20 am on Tuesday - Thursday. Saturdays need to be confirmed before showing up to play.
I will be gone until Thursday, February 25th, headed to Texas on a semi-emergency basis - family illness, so the tee times listed above should be good throughout that period.
***** GENERAL INFORMATION *****
We had 4 golfers (I use this term lightly) present this morning, on a day that improved weatherwise as we got into the latter parts of the afternoon. As we know, a lot of people are out of town, some can't handle the cold weather and some are hen-pecked. I'm sure as the weather improves so will out attendance.
Although it was a still a little wet, carts were allowed on the course today, a welcome respit from the drugery of tromping back and forth to the cart with 4-6 clubs in hand.
***** INDIVIDUAL HONORS *****
Hey Ron, watch out for high winds......with that collar you may get airborne! BTW, if you had a gold chain around your neck, you could have been in "The Godfather".
Ron was the medalist at 91, Hergy was second at 93.
Frick and frack (Larry and Jack) shot identical 102's - the scores were the same, but the rounds were far from identical!
***** LOSER ROLL*****
-38- -39-
-40-
-41-
-42-
-43-
-44- RON
-45-
These results are a scream....... no make that U-G-L-Y! Nothing more can be said!
***** TEAM COMPETITION *****
Dogwood
Team One - Ron and Jack (+1)
Team Two - Hergy and Larry (0)
Azalea
Team One - Ron and Jack (0)
Team Two - Hergy and Larry (0)
Eighteen
Team One - Ron and Jack +1
Team Two - Hergy and Larry (0)
Although the scores sucked and the weather was so-so, the contest between the "enemy combatants" was close, in fact, the final hole decided the entire match. Anybody care to guess how much Larry weighs? I have a pretty good idea since I carried him around the golf course today! :-)
**** NEWS *****
I moved to Aiken about 5 years ago to GET AWAY FROM THE COLD AND SNOW! I was promised by the City Fathers that I would never have to shovel snow again. It appears, if the next couples of days are any indication, they were wrong.
Imagine that, politicians elected by the people, not keeping their promises! I bet that Aiken is the only city in the U.S. where that is true.
