Pollen-esian Holiday

***** TEE TIME INFORMATION *****

Saturday, April 10,  we are scheduled for: 10:40 - 10:48 am

I checked with Derek regarding the tee times for next week - we will be on the regular schedule of 11:04 - 11:12 am.  That will include both Tuesday - Thursday.

Saturday, April 17, you will need to confirm the tee times (those are usually at 10:00).

The 20th should be the 11:04 , etc. tee times or until all the other groups adjust their starting times.

I am on babysitting duty in Wisconsin till then.

***** GENERAL INFORMATION *****

We had 6 again for about the third straight outing. The play was a little slow today - 4 hour round - because of the "visitors" on the course.  The course, after being a swamp for most of February - March, is quite dry and the ball is bouncing and rolling like crazy.  With all the extra roll, Larry even got a couple drives out to the 150 mark - that's an improvement of almost 7 yards.  Way to go P.O.Y.2009 !

A number of players were absent this morning, some for "valid reasons and then there is the Smurf.  Davy Smurf has won so much money of late, that he could afford to take a bus load (at least 14 +) of his real good friends (notice that none of us were asked!) to the Masters with all of his recent "ill-begotten" winnings!  This smacks of shades of elitism and Obuma-mania!

***** INDIVIDUAL HONORS *****

The lead sandbagger today was BRENT with a very good +8.  Second place in the "Handicap Derby" was Larry with a +6.  Those are pretty heady numbers boys!

Even though my trip to Wisconsin is always a little expensive (Look up "Taveling with Divas" in Google and you will see a picture of Marti), it will still be cheaper than throwing my hard earned $4.00 down the rathole with you guys!

I keep telling myself, IT WILL ALL EVENOUT -SOON, but I'm not sure I believe it!
The medalist for today was BRENT at 81. Next best at 89 was Hergy.

Not a very good outing today as far as beating bogey.  Only 5/12 rounds and three of those werre only by a stroke or so!

****TEAM COMPETITION*****

We had sweep today. The winner(s): the team of WALT, LARRY and HERGY won the Front nine (Azalea) with a +7 1/2, the back nine (Dogwood) with a +4 1/2 for an overall victory of +12

Their "so-called" competitors: consisting of Brent, Bob and Ron shot a +11/2 on the front (Azalea), a +2 1/2 on the back and ended the 18 with a +4.   What's the old saying: "some days you get the bear, other days, the bear gets you!
