***** TEE TIME INFORMATION *****
Our "Standing" Summer tee times will be:
10:00 - 10:08 - 10:16 am Tuesday - Thursday
Saturday May 1, 2010 The Club has a "Kentucky Derby" Event scheduled with a 12:00 pm shotgun start, so unless you want to play in a 3-person "shamble" ($15.00), it doesn't look like we will be playing. we can discuss if anyone or three are interested in playing in the event.
In light of our recent scoring binge,
Note it! Live it, Breathe it, Write it down! Subject it to memory! Be the Ball!
***** GENERAL INFORMATION *****
We had 10 again on Tuesday morning! Apparently, that seems to be the number we are stuck on at the present time. The course is really starting to play well. I haven't heard any complaints concerning the conditions, greens, etc. so everything must be up to "par". (sorry about that!)
***** INDIVIDUAL HONORS *****
I had indicated to today's winner, RON (+13) that I was going to harass and ridicule his golf game in the blog today because of the obscene score he posted. But on second thought, I decided not to do that because he is only one in a long line of winners of late posting these types of scores.
Why take pity you may ask? My mother always told me to be kind to the "clueless" and in "exclusive" interviews with the last several winners - David, Don , Larry and Ron (all 12 or13 +'s) - I've decided that they fit this definition.
They are shooting these tremendous scores and don't really have any idea as to why its happening! I don't think its skill, but then again, I wouldn't recognize skill if it slapped me up side the head.....talk about clueless! (Please don't confuse their golfing "clueless" with their normal walking-around type "clueless")

Eventually, they will awaken from this dreamy state of affairs and return to their humdrum golfing existence of +2 or +3 with the rest of us in the serf group. So you elitist snobs....enjoy your golfing bonanza for now, but remember......you will "Crash & Burn" And in the immortal words of that guy that hangs around the King all the time; "The King is Dead, The King is Dead, Long Live the King" (or something like that!)Oooh.....this is real HEAVY stuff, almost intellectual! Pretty heavy for the blog
Anyway, second place in the "Clueless derby" today goes to Jack at +9. Other notables: Don and David at +7
The medalist for today was RON WILLIAMSON with an 82. Next best at 83 was The Paint-boy, again!
Congrats to David aka "The Smurf" on shooting a 37 (one over ) on the Dogwood course. That's great golf! (new 2010 record - Low individual round)
