***** GENERAL INFORMATION *****

COURSES FOR THE WEEK:  AZALEA /LAUREL

We had 7 this morning.  No rain - but muggy......look like July is here early!  Everyone seemed in kind of a funk this AM and the scores showed it too.  For the first time in over a month we had multiple (3) negative scores - in fact we had three plus scores, one even and three negative.  That's a little more normal than the free for all we had been witnessing with 4 to 5 golfers at +5 or better. etc.

Keep up the BAD work you guys!

***** INDIVIDUAL HONORS *****

The 2009 POY made his return to the forefront today, LARRY, led the pack with a +5 this morning.  Last week he would have placed 4th or 5th place with this somewhat mediocre score, but he was at the right place at the right time.   Second place honors fell to Ernie and Don (+2).
The medalist honors belong to DON with a nice 87. The by the way, was the only score in the 80's.  Talk about a mediocre day!  The second best score this morning was Mr. Wanna-be with a 91.

Not much a person can say about this very poor showing by the assembled masses,  Personally, I'm not upset because I've been playing like crap for the last 3-4 weeks so it's been business as usual for me.  But you guys, Wow, you guys really suck because you've been playing so well!  (Not sure about the logic used here, but I do know I now feel a heck of a lot better than before I wrote that!

****TEAM COMPETITION*****

We had a mediocre sweep by a mediocre team with crummy scores.  They were so bad that the team really ought to give the money back.  With scores like +27 and +26, +25 over the last couple of weeks a score of only +7 should be downright embarrassing.   But the winning team has no morals or conscience....they only want their "blood money"!  The team of Ron, Larry and Ernie (Team Name: Wofford Blood-suckers) shot a -1/2 and a + 7 1/2 to finish the 18 with a +7.  As crummy as they were the team of Brent, Hergy, Don and Louie was worse.  Of course any team with Don and Louie is ALWAYS bound to be worse by definition of who comprises the team.  Talking about bad scores, this group couldn't even post a positive number.  Shooting a -2 and a -3 for a -5 eighteen, this group should have their putters pulled from competition.

**** NEWS *****

Did you know that Louie has a car that snorkels?  Neither did Louie till his daughter made a trip to Nashville!  As they say in the cartoons.....glug,,,,glug,,,,glug!  Anyway, with Louie's prodigious wealth, this is just a little blip on the radar for him!
