***** GENERAL INFORMATION *****

We started with 10 this morning, and who can blame us.  For the first time in weeks we had a temperature under 90 with little or no chance of rain!  Can you imagine that!

Although we lost a couple of guys on the turn, we still had a very competitive time.  Finished with two foursomes and the first 18 hole round in over two weeks.  In my last post I stated "The golf course is in great shape. Putting has become a real problem (for some) and the rough is starting to impact the iron shots as it begins to snarl our normally smooth swings."  Let me amend that!  The golf course is in great shape considering all the rain we've had - 8-9 inches over the last couple days.  Putting is impossible - the greens are impossible to read do to the fact some are wetter/dryer, cut/uncut, you name it, which is impacting the scores and the rough.............Ugh!  the nasty, long, club-grabbing rough is back!

Other than that, things are great!

***** INDIVIDUAL HONORS *****
The point winner for Thursday was LARRY at +7,uh Larry!  Ouch!   Second place in the liar's derby goes to Louie at +6.

The medalist honors on Thursday went to DON with an 82 (+5).  Second place in this prestigious event goes to Louie with an 84.

*****HONOR ROLL*****

-36-
-37-
-38-
-39-   Don
-40-
-41-   Louie
-42-   David
-43-  Tommy, Ron, Don, Louie
-44-  Tommy
-45-   Larry

You'll notice that we have a lot of "one-timers".  The above mentioned conditions are taking their toll and the double round below bogey is becoming the exception rather than the rule!
*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

The team competition was a complete blowout.  The team of RON, LARRY, DON AND LOUIE won the whole shootin' match today. Posting a modest +5 on the front they exploded to a +12 on the back to finish the 18 in +17, pretty heady territory!

The sweat-stained group following in their wake was George, Tommy, David and Hergy managed a pathetic + 1/2 on the front and shoot all the way up to a + 2 1/2 on the back finish at +3, a mere 14 points behind the winners! Ouch again!

**** NEWS *****

We are going to have a lot of you guys on the road over the next several days/weeks.
Please, everyone take extra care to be safe  and sound!
