***** GENERAL INFORMATION *****

Well believe it not, we are actually heading back to "normal" conditions.  Fall is just around the corner, football is starting and with cooler temperatures (we think!)  For the first time in three months we had the entire group play 18 holes.  Granted, a couple were finishing on fumes, but compared to the past couple of months that's a significant improvement.  As further testimony that things are returning to normal, I actually felt as thought the round deserved a blog! Can you imagine that!

The golf course is in great shape. The rough is still impacting the iron shots as it continues to snarl our normally smooth swings." Let me clarify that! ......Ugh! the nasty, long, club-grabbing rough continues to screw up our game!  Other than that, things are great!

We had nine golfers yesterday and as I mentioned, they all finished!

***** INDIVIDUAL HONORS *****

The point winner for Thursday was LARRY at +7,uh Larry!  Interesting, the last blog I did before the prolonged summer break had the winner as Larry at +7   Second place in the liar's derby goes to Bob at +6, followed by David at +5.

The medalist honors on Tuesday went to BOB with an 81 (+6). Second place in this prestigious event goes to David with an 83.

*****TEAM COMPETITION*****

The team of WALT, HERGY and LARRY easily won the front nine today with a very definitive +9.  Second place on the front was claimed by the threesome of Jack, David and Brent with a +1/2.  Coasting in with a pathetic -6 was Bob, Louie and Don.

The back was won by JACK, DAVID and BRENT with a + 7 1/2.  Second place was Bob, Louie and Don with a +6.  Last and running out of gas - as in crash and burn - was Walt, Hergy and Larry at -1.

For the eighteen, a tie between the two teams listed above.  The only team failing to check-in with the cashier today was Bob, Louie and Don.  We thank you for your contributions!
